As an SSC aspirant, this is the very important time of your life career wise.   We are here to help you in your journey towards success. We are going to plan a 30-day schedule. Follow it honestly. Guys, remember Success is always about discipline and perseverance.
First and foremost, Know your syllabus completely. And strategize your course of action.
Students, this year onwards all the exams of the SSC are going to be online, hence you are advised to be familiar with the online format and PRACTICE ONLINE TEST SERIES. It will help you immensely and your dream of getting a job might come true in this year itself. Give your best Shot. DON’T SETTLE, TILL YOU MAKE IT.
Here, in no particular order of preference, is the strategy to be followed by students.
Introduction of the SSC CGL Pre 2016 examination: (as per the latest change in pattern)

(1) The Tier-I and Tier-II of the Examination are to be conducted in the Computer Based mode.
(2) Tier-I of the examination is scheduled to be conducted from 27.8.2016 to 11.9.2016. The examination on the first three days viz., 27.8.2016 to 29.8.2016 would be conducted in two batches and thereafter from 30.8.2016 to 11.9.2016, the examination would be conducted in three batches per day.
The number of questions in Tier-I has been reduced from 200 to 100. The paper will be of 200 marks with each question carrying 2 marks. The duration of the examination would be 75 minutes.
Tier-I of the examination will comprise four parts

(iii) General Awareness
(iv) Quantitative Aptitude
Each part would comprise 25 questions of 50 marks.  0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer
How to prepare effectively for English Section:
For an overall understanding of English Language Students need to cultivate reading habits. But as you don’t have much time left for the SSC CGL Pre Exam 2016, now practice questions and MOCK Tests as much as you can. Focus on your positive areas and make sure you score best in such topics.
For Sentence Improvements, knowledge of tenses, sentence structure is required. So, learn and memorize important structures in the English language.
For Error Detection, Knowledge of Subject-verb agreement, pronouns, adjectives, conjunctions, determiners, and tenses is required. Revise and learn all important rules for this section.
For Fill in the blank type Questions, Focus on prepositions and vocabulary. Questions are asked from these two topics.
For One Word Substitution, memorize important and frequently asked at least 300 words.
For Idioms/Phrases, memorize important and frequently asked at least 300 words/phrases.
For Comprehension, Practice mock tests.  The trick is to read the questions first and then read the passage. This way you can save your precious time.
For Antonym/Synonym/Spellings, learn, memorize and practice mock tests.
2.REASONING/GENERAL INTELLIGENCE
The reasoning is a test of observing your mental and problem-solving ability. The reasoning is not like numerical skill where you learn some formula and solve the question by applying that formula. You have to be very careful while answering these questions. Each question carries 2 marks and if we talk about the SSC Reasoning, 15-20 questions can be done by just using common sense and daily practice can get you above 40 marks. Believe me, friends, it's quite easy to score marks in this section provided you practice on a daily basis.
3. Quantitative Aptitude
Before you start preparing this section, just keep in mind that quant is not only important for Tier I, but also for Tier II. You all know what to do to get good marks in the quant section. You need to practice all the varieties of questions and need to learn some shortcut techniques to solve them. Friends, the syllabus not only includes Arithmetic, but also the Advanced Maths. Let us have a look below:
Total no. of questions -25, total marks: 50
4. GENERAL STUDY PLAN

How many hours should I spend per a day?
It completely depends on you. If you are sincere and dedicated for your preparation, then 8 to 10 hours/day is enough. If not, you should spend the whole day. Let's do 1 thing. Instead of making a time schedule, you just make the list of topics you should prepare per day. Based on it, you can spend your day. You should divide your time accordingly because a working person will have a different schedule than a non-working person.
