Eligibility criteria for Google Adsense Program

Google Adsense is one of the commonly used method to earn revenue by your website/blog. But for becoming eligible for Google adsense, there are certain criteria.


What are those criteria, lets discuss.


1. Domain Name : Your domain name should be 6 months old specially for countries like India and China. It is done by Google to ensure the quality of their advertising network and protect the interests of their advertisers and existing publishers.




2.Age: Your age should be 18 or more to take part in Google Adsense program. I don't why there is compulsion of age 18 but it can be related to tax or bank purpose during payments.




3.Content: Content should be high and original to be indexed by Google Adsense team. After getting a good number of quality post, you can hit apply button for Google Adsense program.There are certain guidelines regarding the content also like:


  • Invalid clicks and impressions.
  • Encouraging clicks
  • Content guidelines
    • Pornography, adult or mature content
    • Violent content
    • Hate speech (including content that incites hatred or promotes violence against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity), harassment, bullying, or similar content that advocates harm against an individual or group.
    • Excessive profanity
    • Hacking/cracking content
    • Software or other content that violates the Unwanted Software Policy
    • Malware or adware
    • Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia content
    • Content that promotes, sells, or advertises products obtained from endangered or threatened species.
    • Sales of beer or hard alcohol.
    • Sales of tobacco or tobacco-related products
    • Sales of prescription drugs
    • Sales of weapons or ammunition (e.g., firearms, firearm components, fighting knives, stun guns)
    • Sales or distribution of coursework or student essays
    • Content regarding programs which compensate users for clicking ads or offers, performing searches, surfing websites or reading emails
    • Any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others
  • Copyrighted material
  • Counterfeit goods:Counterfeit goods contain a trademark or logo that is identical to or substantially indistinguishable from the trademark of another. They mimic the brand features of the product in an attempt to pass themselves off as a genuine product of the brand owner.
