GA Study Notes On STRUCTURE OF THE ATMOSPHERE

The Earth is surrounded by a layer of gas called the atmosphere. The atmosphere extends up to a height of about 1,600 kilometres.  The atmosphere is composed of: Nitrogen (78.09%), Oxygen (20.95%), Argon(0.93%),  Other gases(0.03%) Air pressure As we go up the layers of the atmosphere, the pressure falls rapidly.
